Prof. Fabian Theis is head of the Institute of Computational Biology at Helmholtz Zentrum München, one of the leading institutes for data-based modelling in biology and biomedicine, and scientific director of Helmholtz AI, a research-driven platform for applied artificial intelligence (AI). He applies his expertise in statistical learning and mechanistic modelling to applications in single cell genomics, among others.
